Mark your calendar for WMUC 2024!
WMUC 2024 will be an seven (7) day tournament running from Sunday, November 10th to Saturday, November 16th, 2024 inclusive. Should weather cause delays to play, the schedule will be adjusted to ensure the finals are played as scheduled on or prior to day 7. If severe weather occurs, the schedule or format may also be adjusted and the number of games reduced.
CAPTAINS’ & SPIRIT CAPTAINS’ MEETINGS
Coaches’ & Captains’ Meeting and Spirit Captain’s’ Meeting will each take place on Saturday November 9, 2024 in the evening. Each meeting requires attendance by at least one (1) representative for EACH TEAM. For capacity reasons attendance is limited to two (2) people per team per meeting.
WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT
We’ll be attempting to set a world record for the most consecutive disc throws (by unique participants) on Sunday afternoon, November 10th over the course of two rounds. All participants are invited to participate, the public is invited as well; a signup form and time slots will be distributed in October.
OPENING CEREMONY & SHOWCASE GAME
The Opening Ceremony will take place in the morning on Sunday November 10th followed by the Opening Showcase Game. Times for the Opening Ceremony and Opening Game will be announced at a later date. Each team is expected to participate in uniform in the Parade of Nations and Opening Ceremony. All teams will play at least one game on Sunday November 10th.
JERSEY TRADE NIGHT
This event will take place on Thursday November 14th in the afternoon around HQ and Vendor Village. Bring your extra jerseys to trade with other participants!
WMUC PARTY
The official WMUC 2024 party will be Friday night, November 15th. Venue and attire will be announced mid next year.
FINALS & CLOSING CEREMONIES
Finals will be on Friday November 15th and Saturday November 16th, with the medal presentation (1st, 2nd, 3rd, & SOTG) taking place immediately after each Championship game.
